Noah gave a simple nod at Chiiharu's question about a town in the sky. It would be grand indeed, to look up at the sky, and see lights that signified life in the air. What to call it, though? Noah remember his father telling him the reason Aenied's cultural town is called Nede, is because it's spelt Eden backwards. His father grew up around the time Eden was crumbling, but heard many glorious stories. Stories that could horrify a man, or make him weep. These stories, some of which his father did share with Noah, but others he did not. Apparently, they were too bloody. Nede is a sort of remembrance for the glory of Eden. Eden is gone. There is nothing to do but to move on, to stoop and build something new back up with worn-out tools. His father had been one of the original creators of Aenied, but gave up his position to settle down with a family. His father's a very responsible person; he must love Teanna a lot.

"Father sent me out." Noah remember the anxiety and hesitation in his father's determined eyes the day he sent him away. It had grieved mother, aswell. But father knew better than to always keep his beloved son by his side. A man needs experience. At first, Noah had been pretty upset. He wondered why his father would thrown him to the wild. Sometimes he even doubts his father's decision, but afterwards he would assure himself that it was for the best. "To spread my wings." Maybe that was a rather obscure metaphor.

Noah's head would tilt, watching Chiiharu's reaction meticulously. Something he said had hit her. He figured she might've been through some rough experiences, or she's just inexperienced, like him. People tends to fear the unknown. Noah's thoughts would end as he obsorbed the information Chiiharu offered. At her remark about the well-rounded family, Noah creased his brows. Perhaps he does. Even though his brother is the opposite of him, well, he's pretty sure his brother cares. Noah nodded absently. He remember his father telling him about his life. He grew up with an adopted set of parents, never knowing his real ones until later in life. He had been an angry, hateful man. He thought his parents abandoned him. The issue was soon resolved upon learning the truth, but -- father still hates his father, perhaps even more-so than ever before. Thinking upon it, Noah never really had financial problems before. His father owned a smith's store, and his mother owns a restaurant. Delicious food was always promptly provided, and Noah got the best education that the money they have could possibly offer.

Images started to appear before Noah's eyes. He could see the bandits, practically barbarians, rushing into the scene. Chiiharu hiding under the floor, watching her home get destroyed, and her mother attacked. Noah could almost imagine himself in that situation. From both sides of his family, he inherited some sort of .. un'natural powers. Upon getting angry or extremely upset, they would come loose, and cause utter demolition. That also worried his parents, since they too had problems in their youth with control.

She's shaking. His keen eyes locked against hers, noting the tiny amount of tears. Noah was shocked to hear her mother getting raped. He never really witnessed that. His mother and father, always so willing to touch each other.. Noah walked in on them once, and what he saw was part mesmerizing, and part .. uncomfortable. He could not possibly imagine someone having such an act forced upon them. The feeling of powerlessness..

"People weep from lack of power; they make others weep when they possess it." It seems to him that each thing he says sound vague, espicially when his voice is so steady, yet thoughtful. "Meet my standards... Why?" Noah blinked, curly eyelashes fluttering. He never tried to meet anyone's standards save for his own family's. But that's because he loves them. Chiiharu does not love him. So she should not even want or try to meet his standards.

"Grandfather -- abandoned grandmother." Noah paused, thinking back. "Says he won't but he did." Then he thought of his own father. "Father didn't abandone mother -- others criticized his decision." He tried to construct clearer sentences, "He's not grandfather. Never will... Father didn't have father to idolize." The last words were an audible whisper, "His own hero is him."

Then Noah turned abruptly to face Chiiharu, melancholic hues stared at her, "Be your own -- hero." ..Or is it heroine?

Chiiharu was partly shocked to hear some of his family problems. But it was probably just something to say all people have their problems, but you can only make things right by moving on. She was partly happy, he was starting to open up some to her. She was to him too, maybe this would be a good friendship to form, he seem like a nice guy. Even though some of his words were harsh at the start, which made her mad. But now she was starting to calm down and feel at ease. Her hand reached up to wipe the tears from her eyes, returning to her first composure. Listening to how his grandfather left his grandmother.

She gave him a sorrowful look, it was like when her father had left her mother. The pain of losing someone so dear to you. It hurt for a long time, which seemed like forever, but it wasn't forever. But the pain made it seem that way. She was glad that his father didn't leave his mother. That would be a heart breaking situation, all though she couldn't image it, besides using her father as an example for it. She hadn't had a relationship or a love before, so it was way over her head.

"I'm sorry to hear that, Noeh."

That was the only response she could give to him, for she didn't really know much on that subject about his family. Anyways, it was probably about time for the boat right? She raised up from the ground, dusting herself off. She wondered what he was gonna do after this, head on over to Bella? Would the two depart from here? She hadn't known him long, but he gave her the satisfaction of not being alone, that was for sure. Being alone was sad and hard to deal with for her anyways. But that was all she could do, she had no one to travel with. And so, this would be her only chance to not be alone. She wouldn't ask to travel around together, it would be awkward. The two were still strangers to one another, that question was simply out.

(OOC) I'm so so sorry. I lost the link to Aenied and had other things to deal with irl. So so sorry for the really late post!!! x.X)
